Gerd Petgen Winery
Marienstrasse 20, 66706 Perl-Sehndorf
The Romans laid the cornerstone of wine growing on the Saarland Moselle. They treasured the Muschelkalk soil, which lends burgundy wine depth and fullness.
The climate of the southern Moselle together with the soil is ideal for wine growing. The balance between warm and cold days, between sun and rain gives this region the best prequisites for great wines.
Pinot gris with the aroma of pears, melons, and citrus fruit, characterized by extract, is the ideal accompaniment to hearty dishes and aromatic cheeses.
Auxerrois blanc with its peach aromas is one of the rarities of German wine cultivation. It is only this unique climate of the southern Moselle Valley that lends the auxerrois blanc its harmony and balance. It is served with asparagus and fish.
Pinot blanc with its stimulating acidity displays lightness and fruitiness. It demonstrates its strong point served with seafood.
Vanilla, blackberries, and forest berries are the aromas of pinot noir.
